“It’s not who you are that holds you back; it’s who you think you are not.” Author Unknown
Many of us hesitate in our walk with Christ not because we lack faith or calling, but because we forget who we are in Him. The enemy loves to whisper that we’re unworthy, unequipped, or too flawed to make a difference. But God says otherwise.
“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession.” — 1 Peter 2:9
Zeal for Christ isn’t born from striving harder; it’s born from believing deeper. When we rest in our true identity (beloved, redeemed, empowered), our passion naturally ignites. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, fueling boldness and purpose.
Beloved
You are loved by God — not for what you do, but for who you are in Him. His love is the foundation of your worth and confidence.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are.” — 1 John 3:1
When you remember you are beloved, fear loses its grip, and love drives your zeal.
Redeemed
Your past no longer defines you. Christ’s sacrifice restored you and gave you new life.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” — Ephesians 1:7
You’re not who you were — you are made new. Zeal grows from gratitude for that redemption.
Empowered
You are equipped by the Holy Spirit to walk boldly in faith and purpose.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses…” — Acts 1:8
You don’t serve from weakness — you serve from divine strength. The Spirit within you fuels your courage and zeal.
Don’t let who you think you’re not silence the fire God placed within you. You are His, called for such a time as this. Let your confidence in who you are in Christ be the spark that keeps your zeal burning bright.
